A CLASSIC FREESTANDING CABINET
SOLUS combines glass with stainless steel details. Different heights and an available corner version make it a useful starting point for many rooms. Compare the lighting and lock options for your chosen configuration.
LIGHT ACROSS INDIVIDUAL SHELVES
Horizontal LED systems bring light to the display levels. SOLUS LED LINE is worth comparing when several shelves need a consistent lighting approach without making the fittings the focus of the cabinet.
A DISPLAY ON THE WALL
VITRO brings smaller objects into view at a chosen wall height. It keeps the floor underneath available, but its location depends on the wall construction, mounting requirements and, with lighting, the power supply.
A BROADER ARRANGEMENT
The larger two-door SOLUS XL uses Optiwhite glass for a wide display. Compare the clear shelf space with the dimensions of your objects, including any stands or bases, rather than relying on the outside width.
GLASS DISPLAY WITH DRAWER STORAGE
SOLUS FLY pairs visible display shelves with a drawer element that appears to float inside the glass. Oak, walnut and lacquered options let you coordinate the closed storage with your room.
LIGHT BEHIND THE COLLECTION
A backlit satin glass panel creates a different effect from a spotlight or shelf light. SOLUS BACKLIGHT makes the background part of the display; compare the offered white and colored lighting versions.
SIZE & EVERYDAY USE
Measure the tallest, widest and deepest items you want to display, including plinths, protective stands or presentation bases. A vase needs room above its rim; a model car may need more depth once its base is included. The outside dimensions of a display case do not tell you how much usable space remains inside each compartment.
Leave room to put objects in and take them out without squeezing your hand past the next piece. Frequently used glassware belongs at a comfortable height. For a growing collection, decide which shelves are for everyday favorites and which can accommodate future additions.
Weight matters as much as size. A row of small ornaments and a single heavy stone sculpture place different demands on a shelf. Send us the intended weights and contact areas so the chosen construction can be reviewed for your display.

Make a short inventory of your largest and heaviest pieces. It gives us a better starting point than a cabinet width alone.
FUNCTION & PLANNING
A freestanding glass display cabinet can sit beside a sofa, in a dining area or along a clear wall. Look at it from the positions where you will actually enjoy the collection. A narrow footprint still needs space for an open door, cleaning and the route through the room.
A wall-mounted display case such as VITRO brings smaller objects closer to eye level and keeps the floor clear. Plan the height around the objects and the furniture below it. The wall and mounting method must be suitable for the total weight of the cabinet and its contents.
A corner configuration can use an otherwise awkward area, but measure both wall faces, baseboards and neighboring furniture. Door direction, electrical outlets and an uneven corner can affect the final position.
Planning tip
Mark the proposed footprint and door opening with removable tape. For a wall cabinet, mark the height and outline as well.
MATERIALS & DETAIL
A spotlight can emphasize one object, while a horizontal light line serves a whole shelf. A backlit panel changes the background and silhouette. Compare these approaches with the surfaces you plan to display: reflective glassware, polished metal and matte ceramics respond differently.
SOLUS offers a lighting track for its specified spotlights. SOLUS LED LINE integrates horizontal LED systems at the display levels. SOLUS BACKLIGHT illuminates its satin rear panel. These are different arrangements, so choose by the effect you want rather than treating every illuminated cabinet as the same.
Think about the outlet, cable path and controls before ordering. Light color, dimming and included components depend on the configuration. For light-sensitive objects, discuss the requirements of the collection itself alongside the cabinet lighting.
Planning tip
View lighting from your usual seat as well as from standing height. Reflections can change considerably with the viewing angle.
YOUR ROOM & YOUR ROUTINE
Float glass has a characteristic greenish tint, most visible at its edges. Optiwhite is low-iron glass with less inherent color. It is an option to compare when a light interior or the colors of the collection call for a more neutral view.
A clear back panel brings the room wall into the display. A lacquered or satin panel gives the collection its own background. A pale object may stand out against a darker panel; a calm light background can suit a colorful group. Think about the displayed pieces as well as your existing furniture.
SOLUS FLY adds closed drawer storage in wood or a lacquered finish. It is useful when presentation and practical storage belong together: favorites can remain visible while accessories are stored below. Choose the offered wood and surface treatment to complement the surrounding room.
Planning tip
Compare a glass and color sample with one of the objects you intend to display. An empty cabinet gives only part of the picture.
OPTIONS TO COMPARE
Closed doors separate the collection from casual handling and reduce direct dust entry. They do not, by themselves, establish a dustproof seal, UV protection or controlled museum conditions. Choose the location with the needs of the displayed objects in mind.
A furniture lock can help limit access, but it is a different requirement from tested burglary protection. If you need a particular level of protection for valuable stock or a private collection, describe it before we agree the cabinet specification.
Check the hand movement needed for cleaning and rearranging the shelves. Door direction can make a noticeable difference beside a wall or another piece of furniture. Let us know about heavy objects, access constraints and the proposed position when discussing the model.

A display case for a home collection and a showcase for a store can share materials while needing different layouts. For a commercial project, consider the items on display, staff access, visibility from the entrance, replenishment and how the cabinet relates to counters and circulation.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
Planning in inches? Product dimensions are shown in centimeters. One inch is 2.54 cm. Send us your original measurements and units when discussing a custom piece so we can agree the dimensions precisely.
Dust or loose grit should be removed before wiping a glass surface. Use clean, soft cloths and products suited to the selected finish. Avoid abrasive pads, rough object bases and standing moisture around connections. Suitable pads help protect shelves from the feet of ornaments or equipment.

Plan the finished construction around its actual use. Glass thickness alone is not a load rating for a shelf or an assembled piece. Tell us about heavy collections, unusually large equipment or a particular placement before ordering so the chosen configuration can be checked.

GOOD TO KNOW
Compare a narrow freestanding cabinet, a suitable corner version and a wall-mounted design such as VITRO. The useful choice depends on door clearance, circulation and the collection itself. For wall mounting, the supporting wall and reachable display height also matter.
Shelf lighting illuminates the individual display levels; backlighting makes the rear panel part of the display. SOLUS LED LINE and SOLUS BACKLIGHT provide examples of these different approaches. Compare the effect on your actual objects and check the offered equipment.
